Some points to note regarding the use and maintenance of batteries

If the battery is not used for a long time, it will slowly discharge itself until it is disused. Therefore, you should start your car every so often to recharge the battery. Another way is to unplug the two electrodes on the battery. It should be noted that when unplugging the positive and negative electrode wires from the electrode posts, the negative electrode wire should be unplugged first, or the connection between the negative electrode and the chassis of the car should be removed. The battery has a certain service life and should be replaced at a certain time. When replacing the battery, follow the same order as above, but when connecting the electrode wires to the battery, the order is the opposite, first to the positive terminal and then to the negative terminal.
2. When the ammeter pointer shows that the storage capacity is insufficient, it should be charged in time. The storage capacity of the battery can be reflected on the instrument panel. Sometimes when you are on the road and you find that the power is not enough and the engine is off and cannot be started, as a temporary measure you can ask for help from other vehicles and use the battery on their vehicle to start the vehicle by connecting the negative terminal to the negative terminal and the positive terminal to the positive terminal of both batteries.
3. The density of the electrolyte should be adjusted according to the standard in different regions and seasons.
4. The electrolyte should be replenished with distilled water or special rehydration solution when there is a loss of electrolyte. Do not replace it with pure drinking water. This is because pure water contains many trace elements, which can have a negative impact on the battery.
5. When starting the car, uninterrupted use of the starter will cause damage to the battery due to over-discharge. The correct way to use it is to start the car for no more than 5 seconds each time, and to start it again for no less than 15 seconds. If the car does not start even after several starts, the cause should be found in the circuit, ignition coil or oil circuit.
6. You should always check whether the small hole in the battery cover is ventilated when you drive everyday. If the small hole in the battery cover is blocked, the hydrogen and oxygen produced will not be discharged and the electrolyte will expand, which will break the battery shell and affect the life of the battery.
7. Check the positive and negative levels of the battery for signs of oxidation. You can pour hot water on the battery's wire connections from time to time and clean them up with a copper wire brush and grease them.
8. Check all parts of the circuit for ageing or short circuits. Prevent the battery from being prematurely retired due to excessive discharge.
9. The battery is prohibited to be stored at a loss of power. If it is used up and left idle for a few days before charging, the pole plate is prone to sulphation and the capacity decreases.
If the voltage of one of the batteries is lower than 10.5V, it should be checked or repaired by a service station to avoid damaging the other two good batteries.
11. The design weight of the e-bike is 75KG, avoid carrying heavy objects, and use foot pedals to help when starting and going uphill.
12. It is normal for the battery capacity to drop with the temperature in winter. 20°C is the standard, generally 80% capacity at -10°C.
13. Keep the surface of the battery clean for a long time and prohibit exposure to the sun when storing the vehicle, it should be parked in a cool, ventilated and dry place.
14. The battery must be fully charged when left for a long time, generally once a month.
15. Use the foot pedal to assist the vehicle when starting, going uphill, overloading or in the wind to avoid high current discharge.
16. When charging, use a special charger and place it in a cool and ventilated place to avoid high temperature and humidity.
17. Do not use organic solvents to clean the battery casing.
18. Do not short-circuit the positive and negative terminals of the battery to avoid danger.
19. Prohibit over-discharging: When the red under-voltage indicator light on the instrument panel glows, it indicates that the power has entered the starvation zone and should be charged in time.
20. Prohibit overcharging: The charging time should be different according to the mileage, the longer the mileage, the longer the charging time, and vice versa.
21. If the battery pack breaks down, please send it to the manufacturer's authorised office or the relevant institution for proper disposal. Please do not dispose of them at will to avoid environmental pollution.
